Terms of Service

Terms of Service.

The legal terms that govern your use of uSwap, the universal swap engine. We don't ask for ID, we don't hold your funds, and we don't take a fee on crypto-to-crypto swaps.

Last updated June 5, 2026

Summary

The short version.

uSwap is a non-custodial routing engine. We don't ask for ID, we don't hold your funds, and we don't take a fee on crypto-to-crypto swaps. We're compliant the same way the underlying networks are — by refusing to route value into or out of sanctioned addresses and by refunding any deposit that triggers an AML flag instead of holding it for review.

This page is the long version of that.

Section 1

What uSwap is.

uSwap operates a routing engine that converts deposits in one form of value into deliveries in another. Inputs include crypto across 30+ networks. Outputs include other crypto, Telegram Premium / Stars / channel boosts, Discord Nitro / server boosts, Mullvad VPN time, gift cards, prepaid Visa / virtual cards, and P2P fiat off-ramps. We don't issue any of those products ourselves — we route into them through execution providers and partners.

uSwap is non-custodial in the routing sense: funds touch a deposit address derived for your bridge, are routed through providers in real time, and are delivered to your destination. Any residual settlement balances are operator-controlled by the engine on your behalf, not held as a custodial account.

uSwap is not a bank, money transmitter, exchange, broker-dealer, or investment advisor. uSwap does not offer financial advice, investment products, or yield-bearing accounts.

Section 2

Eligibility.

By using uSwap you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction, and that you are not a resident of, located in, or accessing the service from a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United Nations, or any other sanctioning authority recognized by our compliance program.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of uSwap complies with the laws of every jurisdiction that applies to you. uSwap may decline to route any deposit that we determine is not lawful for us to process.

Section 3

No-KYC posture.

uSwap does not collect government-issued identification, full legal names, dates of birth, residential addresses, or any other category of identity document typically required by Know-Your-Customer (KYC) programs at custodial exchanges. We don't ask, we don't store, and we don't share what we don't have.

This is not a posture that depends on staying under a threshold or on "reserving the right" to KYC later. uSwap's architecture is built such that the operator does not have an identity surface to collect from in the first place. Customers interact with bridges and intents, not accounts.

Specific implications:

  • No signup, no login, no account is required to swap on uSwap.net or use uSwap Zero.
  • Partner API integrations (partner.uswap.net) authenticate organizations, not end-users. The end-user identity remains opaque to uSwap.
  • If your jurisdiction or your counterparty requires you to identify yourself, that is between you and them. uSwap is not the right surface to satisfy a counterparty KYC requirement.

Section 4

AML compliance — flag and refund, don't collect.

uSwap is anti-money-laundering compliant. We meet that obligation by screening deposits and destinations against sanctions lists and known illicit-activity databases at the moment a route is constructed. Flagged deposits are refunded to the address of origin; flagged destinations cause the route to be rejected before any value moves. We do not "review and hold." We do not freeze user funds pending investigation.

What we screen

  • Source addresses against the U.S. OFAC SDN list and equivalent sanctions designations published by other recognized authorities.
  • Source addresses against known stolen-funds, exchange-hack, ransomware, and darknet-market designations from reputable on-chain analytics providers.
  • Destination addresses against the same sets at the moment of route construction.

What happens on a hit

  • Flagged deposit — the deposit is refunded to the originating address. We do not deliver to your destination. We do not hold the funds for a review window. We do not request additional information from you to "clear" the flag.
  • Flagged destination — the quote is rejected before you deposit anything, with a clear explanation. No funds move.
  • Sanctions match — additional reporting obligations may apply depending on jurisdiction. uSwap complies with applicable reporting obligations of the jurisdictions in which it operates.

uSwap does not launder funds. uSwap does not knowingly facilitate transactions in violation of applicable sanctions or anti-money-laundering law. The architecture is designed so that satisfying these obligations does not require collecting end-user identity.

Section 5

Acceptable use.

You agree not to use uSwap to:

  • Process funds derived from, or destined for, activity that violates the criminal laws of any jurisdiction that applies to you.
  • Evade sanctions or anti-money-laundering controls of any sanctioning authority recognized by our compliance program.
  • Interfere with, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the uSwap engine, the partner platform, or any user's bridge or intent.
  • Misrepresent the source of funds, the destination of funds, or the recipient of a delivery in a way intended to mislead our screening systems.
  • Resell, white-label, or rate-limit-abuse the uSwap surface outside of the explicit Partner API terms.

uSwap may refuse, cancel, or refund any route at our discretion when continuing the route would violate these Terms or any applicable law. Where a route is cancelled, funds are routed back to the originating address; we do not retain user funds as part of an enforcement action.

Section 6

Quotes, rates, and recovery.

Quotes are shown for two modes:

  • Locked rate — the rate is committed at quote time. If a route exists at the quoted rate when your deposit arrives, you receive the locked amount.
  • Market rate — the rate is set when your deposit arrives, against the best executable path at that moment.

If your deposit doesn't match the quote (wrong network, wrong asset, wrong amount, late arrival), the engine offers you a choice on the same screen: market-replace at the current rate, hold for manual review, or refund to a different address. There is no support ticket. There is no "review queue."

Network gas fees, provider-side spreads, and underlying market movement are not under uSwap's control and are not refundable. Network conditions can cause delays measured in minutes for fast chains and longer for slower chains; uSwap does not guarantee a specific delivery time.

Section 7

Spend-product deliveries.

When you route crypto into a spend product (Telegram Premium, Telegram Stars, channel boosts, Discord Nitro, server boosts, gift cards, prepaid Visa, Mullvad VPN time, P2P fiat), uSwap purchases the product from an upstream provider on your behalf and delivers the resulting credential, code, or service to your destination.

The spend product itself is governed by the terms of the upstream provider (Telegram, Discord, Mullvad, the gift-card issuer, the card issuer, the P2P counterparty). uSwap is not the issuer of those products and does not control whether the upstream provider accepts, fulfills, or maintains them.

The retail markup uSwap takes on spend-product deliveries is what funds the engine. Crypto-to-crypto routes carry no platform fee and no spread in the quote.

Section 8

Disclaimers.

uSwap is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or accuracy of the rates or settlement times shown.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Upstream chain congestion, provider outages, and routing engine maintenance windows can and do affect availability.

Section 9

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, uSwap, its affiliates, and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the service is limited to the markup uSwap collected from you on the specific transaction giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100), whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Section 10

Indemnification.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless uSwap, its affiliates, and its operators from any claim, demand, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.

Section 11

Changes to these Terms.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when reasonable, by surfacing a banner on uSwap.net. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
